چکیده

Image-derived phenotypes of abdominal organs from magnetic resonance imaging reveal variations in volume and shape may be used to model changes a normal versus pathological organ improve diagnosis. Computational atlases anatomical provide many advantages quantifying modeling differences size for population studies. Here we made use liver segmentations derived Dixon MRI 2,730 UK Biobank participants create 3D meshes. We computed the signed distances between reference subject-specific meshes define surface-to-surface (S2S) phenotype. employed mass univariate regression analysis compare S2S values image-derived specific liver, such as proton density fat fraction iron concentration while adjusting age, sex, ethnicity, body index waist-to-hip ratio. Vertex-based associations mesh were extracted threshold-free cluster enhancement was applied sensitivity stability statistical parametric maps. Our findings show that are robust method association anatomical, anthropometric, phenotypic across liver. This approach readily different clinical conditions well extended other larger population.

Three-dimensional cardiovascular imaging-genetics: a mass univariate framework

Motivation Left ventricular (LV) hypertrophy is a strong predictor of cardiovascular outcomes, but its genetic regulation remains largely unexplained. Conventional phenotyping relies on manual calculation of LV mass and wall thickness, but advanced cardiac image analysis presents an opportunity for high-throughput mapping of genotype-phenotype associations in three dimensions (3D). Results Hi...

Methods for regression analysis in high-dimensional data

By evolving science, knowledge and technology, new and precise methods for measuring, collecting and recording information have been innovated, which have resulted in the appearance and development of high-dimensional data. The high-dimensional data set, i.e., a data set in which the number of explanatory variables is much larger than the number of observations, cannot be easily analyzed by ...

Predictive factors for infertility of women: an univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis

Background and aims: Infertility is a major problem during reproductive age. Physical and psychological effects of infertility in women are problematic. The aim of this study was to determine the potential predictive factors of infertility, among women referring both public and private health centers in Ilam province, western Iran, in 2013. Methods: In this cross-sectional study, 1013 women re...

Phenotypic Characterization of Toxic Compound Effects on Liver Spheroids Derived from iPSC Using Confocal Imaging and Three-Dimensional Image Analysis

Cell models are becoming more complex to better mimic the in vivo environment and provide greater predictivity for compound efficacy and toxicity. There is an increasing interest in exploring the use of three-dimensional (3D) spheroids for modeling developmental and tissue biology with the goal of accelerating translational research in these areas. Accordingly, the development of high-throughpu...
